Governor Mills makes changes
to business and travel regulations.

On Sunday, Governor Mills announced changes to several business regulations and travel restrictions. 
 
Gathering Limits:
Beginning Wednesday, November 4, indoor gatherings will return to a maximum of 50 people, regardless of capacity. The gathering limit on outdoor activities remains at 100 people under existing guidelines, with physical distancing and the use of face coverings. Occupancy limits for retail establishments will remain at 5 people per 1,000 square feet of shopping space.
 
Bars and Tasting Rooms:
Indoor seated bars and tasting rooms were not permitted to open yesterday, as previously scheduled, and this phase has been postponed until further notice.
 
Travel Restriction Changes:
The 14-day Quarantine or COVID testing within72 hours is reinstated for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut beginning Wednesday, November 4. Travelers from New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts are still exempt. The Governor indicated Massachusetts may be removed from the exempt list in the future if their COVID numbers continue to worsen.

through Maine Stream Finance

MaineStream Finance is offering $1,000 grants to small businesses impacted by COVID-19. These grants are aimed at helping businesses sustain and adapt during the crisis.

To be considered, businesses will need to complete the online grant application below. To save your progress and return to your application, please use the save feature with a valid email address – a link to your application will be emailed to you.

The application period will be open from 11/2-11/15. Completed applications must be submitted by midnight on 11/15 to be considered.
