Governors Responding to Coronavirus

As warnings about the coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to grow, governors in the Northeast states are coordinating response teams with federal, state and local public health officials to ensure the states are prepared and taking necessary precautions.

Congressional negotiators have reached an $8.3 billion emergency deal to confront the coronavirus – 6 things to know about the coronavirus funding package . The Senate has approved the spending bill and the legislation is headed to the President who is expected to sign it into law.

Northeast States Ranked Among the Healthiest in the Nation

Northeast states ranked among the top healthiest in the latest analysis of America's Health Rankings composite measure. Vermont and Massachusetts topped the list at number one and two respectively, while Connecticut ranked number four and New Hampshire number six.

The analysis is based on composite index of over 30 metrics that give an annual snapshot of health of a population in each state relative to the other states.
