Advancing Gender Equity and Human Rights through Advocacy and Grantmaking

“We have a moral obligation to respond, to speak up, to bear witness, and to change the circumstances that are causing pain.”

-  Pauli Murray, poet, lawyer, activist, and ordained priest (1910–1985)

Dear Friend,

Our Dare to Declare: Freedom and Justice Deferred is coming up fast, and so is the ticket count.

In just a few days, we're gathering our community for a Women's Rights Breakfast unlike any morning you've had this year. As the USA marks 250 years since the Declaration of Independence promised equity and justice for all, we're asking together, under the lenses of gender and race: PROMISED TO WHOM?

We will be guided through the history of women's rights and racial justice on a spoken-word journey starting in 1776. We'll move through three moments: yesterday, today, and tomorrow, through an honest conversation of where we’re at and what comes next. And we have some inspiring women joining us to make it happen.

*SPECIAL BONUS: Your breakfast ticket includes full admission to the Chester County History Center for the entire day. Stay after the breakfast and explore the galleries, including the very building that hosted Pennsylvania’s first Women’s Rights Convention in 1852, and exhibits like the Pioneer Female Physicians of Chester County. History is part of the program!

This is the kind of morning that stays with you!

Grab your seats before they’re gone.
