This Christmas season, in the midst of the often frantic rush of the holidays, God invites us to remember that we are loved so completely that God became like us in the person of Jesus.

Altar Society
The next quarterly meeting for the altar society is changing from Saturday, January 7th to Saturday January 14th, at 9 AM in the Board Room. Instead, on January 7th we will remove the Christmas decorations and plants from the church. Help is needed and will be appreciated, if you are available.
Memorial Flower dates available: High Altar - January 29, February 26, 2017. Lady Chapel - December 4, 2016; January 22 & 29, February 5, 12 & 26, 2017. Please contact Marilyn Cole at (315) 737-5577 to reserve a date.

Food Pantry
The Food Pantry and Drop-In Center is in need of canned soup and stew.
St. Margaret's food pantry will once again be decorating our "Giving Tree" in the Drop In Center with NEW hats, mittens, gloves and warm socks for all ages. These items will be given to those who are without when they visit our pantry. Thank you.

Webcast: Video Ministry
11-27-2016 Advent Lessons and Carols
The Festival of Advent Lessons and Carols took place on Sunday, November 27, at 4 p.m. This annual celebration of the Advent season began preparation for Christmas and was filled with Scripture, hymns and anthems sung by the choir.
12-year-old organist Dominic Fiacco was our special guest. Prelude (Finale, Symphony No. 3, Louis Vierne) and Postlude (Toccata, Mons Leidvin Takle).
For all who are fans of 12 year old organist Dominic Fiacco, here's what is coming up: Sunday, December 18, 4:00, First Presbyterian Church, Utica, Christmas Music Celebration: Prelude (Finale, Symphony No. 3, Louis Vierne) and Postlude (Prelude and Fugue in B Major, Marcel Dupré).
The Service of Lessons and Carols dates from 1880, and is best known as it is celebrated at King's College, Cambridge, England.

2017 Contribution Envelopes
The 2017 Contribution Envelopes are available for pick up in the foyer. If you do not see a box with your name on it and wish to receive envelopes, please contact the office at your convenience (733-7575 ext. 234 or email: finance@gracechurchutica.org.) As a reminder, due to rising postage costs, we are no longer automatically mailing contribution statements to our parishioners. If you would like a statement sent to you, please complete the enclosed request form in the church bulletin and return it to the
office at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your understanding.
