O God, the omnipotent and benevolent, who knows our hearts and intentions in ways we have yet to understand. Thank you for the gift of prosperity and diversity. We ask that you bless the minds and hearts of those who join this pilgrimage to Alabama. Let the adversity and injustice of our past, and present, stimulate our hearts and encourage us to action, so that we might advocate for and be messengers of social justice and love. Thank you for hearing our prayer, we pray these things in the name of your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Prayer Chain: In these difficult times if you know of someone or something which could benefit from extra prayer, please feel free to activate our Prayer Chain. You can do this by calling the church office or Barb Grove at 315-723-0036 with your intention. Unless requested, all prayers of the chain will not be published or shared outside the chain.

Eucharist for Shut-Ins: We have Lay Eucharistic Visitors that would be happy to visit those that are shut-ins or hospitalized but can only do so if a family member contacts us. Please let us know if your loved one is also in need of receiving communion. You can call the church office to provide information for your loved one at 315.733.7575.

Food Pantry
Food Pantry Ministry

Food Pantry: St. Margaret's Food Pantry is a mission of Grace Church. This ministry is for people in the downtown geographical area who are in need of food supplies. They stop in not only to satisfy their need for food but many also stop by for conversation and company. Our food pantry has a relationship with the Food Bank of Central New York and is obligated to provide a minimum of three days of food each month to individuals who seek our services. Due to the generosity of our parishioners at Grace Church, as well as the community, we are often able to increase the minimum requirement. During school vacations we provide breakfast and lunch bags for the children of our constituents, containing cereal, milk, bread, peanut butter, jelly, fruit and other items. In conjunction with the Food Bank of Central New York, we also sponsor demonstrations of healthy cooking and offer participants useful household gifts for attending the demonstration or vouchers to farmers' markets, when available. Whether it's donating food yourself or aiding our staff with pick up, organization and stocking shelves, St. Margaret's Food Pantry at Grace Church provides an opportunity for you to help alleviate hunger in the downtown Utica area.

Our Food Pantry now has a Facebook page. Click to learn more:

Thrift Store

Thrift Store

Thrift Store: Because we are starting some renovations, we are requesting that you don't bring donations in until we let you know when we will be able to accept them. Should you, or anyone you know need clothing or household items in an emergency, you may call the church office and we can arrange for someone to "shop" for you. During this renovation period, there may be sone Fridays we won’t be able to be open, but we will let you know in the bulletin and newsletter.
