Election of Elders and Council Leaders- Nominations Accepted

It’s Election Time again! The Grace congregation will be electing members to serve as Elders or on the Administrative Council at our next Voters Assembly in November.
Members can recommend candidates for the three Elder positions as well as for the Council President and Vice President positions, by Oct. 15. Nominees should be members who meet the qualifications for these positions and are willing to serve Grace in this capacity.
  • Elder selection criteria includes: (I have referenced the Grace By-Laws for criteria)
  • 5.1 - A minimum of 7
  • 5.1 - men
  • 5.1 - oversee and work with Senior Pastor
  • 5.4 - communicant members
  • 6.2 - spiritual maturity, knowledge of Word, zeal for spiritual work (there is a reference to 1 Tim. 3 and Titus 1)
  • Admin. Council selection criteria includes:
  • 5.2 - oversee and work with Administrative Team and staff
  • 5.3 - cooperate with Senior Pastor and staff
  • 5.4 - communicant members

A Nominating Committee has been formed to manage the election process, including:
Bob Glaser (Chair), Jack Anderson, Carla Santoro, Dean Richmond, Kim Arnold, and Pastor Aaron Smith.

The team will review all nominees, their qualifications, and present the final list of candidates to the congregation by Nov. 1.

The election will be held at the Voter’s meeting on Nov. 15th. Additional information will be provided.

This team is committed to ensuring a smooth transition from current to new leaders. Contact any team member with questions or recommendations for our future Elders and Council leaders.

  • Registration ($8 each), coffee & fellowship - 9:30 a.m.
  • Welcome, Singing, Opening Devotion - 10 a.m.
  • Servant Activity: Preparing, sewing, and packing take-home kits for “Pillowcase dresses” for the young girls served by Lutheran Border Concerns Ministry
  • Ingathering - blankets, quilts, warm clothing for all ages (gloves, hats, jackets, sweatshirts), children’s toys and socks for Christmas. Items will be donated to Lutheran Border Concerns Ministry.
