December 12, 2019
Hey, Grace’rs,

This past weekend was a great example of what makes Grace Grace! It started with a moving message by Pastor Kathleen on the Christmas song,  Mary, Did You Know? If you didn’t get a chance to see it, you will want to take 13 minutes and watch it. I promise it will be worth your time.

Sunday afternoon we had two performances of our annual Christmas Concert and WOW! That’s all I can say. WOW! You won’t find a better, more compelling Christmas concert anywhere in the Valley! (If you missed it, some of the music will be used in our Christmas Eve Services.) A big thanks to all of our Concert Cast, Band, and Tech People, along with our as usual great hospitality team. And thanks to you, Grace, for financially supporting these kinds of opportunities for sharing the bold, reckless grace of Jesus!

But we’re only half way through Advent. Much more to come as we move toward the highpoint of the season: Christmas Eve.

This weekend we go back to one of the most ancient Christmas Carols ever written: O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.

(We have something very special this weekend for our kids at all three services!)

Families with last names starting with G-K have the food table this weekend.

Also, check out our  AfterSaturday@5 special event: Making Christmas Ornaments.

This is a reminder that all contributions for 2019 need to be received by our office, posted online or postmarked by December 31, 2019.
The office will be closed from December 25 until January 2, so if you're making your contribution in person, you'll want to put your contribution into the offering basket on the weekend of December 28/29

If you set up a Bill Pay service with your bank, and you direct them to issue the payment to us by December 31, that will qualify as a year-end gift, even if we receive it from the bank after the first of the year. The beauty of Bill Pay is that we do not get charged a credit card fee for that like we do with online or text gifts.

For your convenience, you could do online giving by going to our website at www.BoldRecklessGrace.org and go to the More Tab to scroll down to Online Giving.
Or, you could use TEXT giving: (623) 295-2484. We get charged a 3% credit/debit card fee for online and text gifts.

Tax-free IRA withdrawals for charity
Anyone over 70-1/2 may take tax-free distributions of up to $100,000 from a traditional IRA if the money is distributed directly to an eligible charity. While retirees can't also take a deduction for that contribution, the money won't count as income. So it won't hurt when it comes to other taxes, such as those imposed on Social Security benefits when income exceeds a certain level.
Those contributions would be directed to:
Community of Grace Lutheran Church (Fed ID #20-2336497)
10561 W Pinnacle Peak Rd. Peoria AZ 85383
Waiting…waiting…waiting…it’s hard work. But God has a promise for you while you wait! I can’t wait to share it with you this weekend!
