Grace La Gracia
33 Church Street White Plains, NY 10601
If you are visiting with us for the first time, we welcome you to Grace Church!
Our liturgy is found in the Book of Common Prayer.
Our communion is open to all baptized Christians.
Please take the time to fill out one of our visitor cards which the ushers have available.
Your presence is a blessing to us may our worship together be a blessing to you.
Jesus said, “No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is hidden that will not be disclosed, nor is anything secret that will not become known and come to light. Then pay attention to how you listen; for to those who have, more will be given; and from those who do not have, even what they seem to have will be taken away.”
Then his mother and his brothers came to him, but they could not reach him because of the crowd. And he was told, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.” But he said to them, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.” Luke 8:16–21

We Need Your Support Grace Members,
Grace Church provides worship, education, music, outreach, pastoral care, community events, advocacy, and so much more to hundreds of people each year; and it is possible only through your generous financial support. Thank you for your financial pledge. And if you haven’t yet pledged, please pray about it.
The 2019 stewardship pledge forms are in a self addressed envelopes that can be found on the table in back of the church. Your completed pledge form can be mailed, place in the offering basket or hand to an usher after the service.

We are continuing our efforts to reach out and love our members by developing a visual sharing of personal members’ prayers. We are calling all Grace members inviting them to share a one sentence prayer, indicating this prayer will be displayed on the attached display screen placed on a church wall. If someone prefers anonymous prayer, then not shown.
So, please respond with your one sentence prayer. The prayer could be a thanksgiving or intercession. Email your prayers to: mcampos@gracechurchwhiteplains.org
My prayer example is as follows:
Fr. Chip - a prayer in thanksgiving for all our Grace La Gracia member families and that their lives be blessed in the coming year.
LOOKING AHEAD
Celebration of New Ministry The Institution and Induction of
Reverend Dr. Chip Graves
as our Seventeenth Rector of Grace Church
On Saturday, July 20th we install Father Chip as our Rector. This event helps us remember that our parish is but part of the much larger Church. The larger Church represented by our chief pastor, the Bishop, and many of the clergy of our diocese as well as visitors from other parishes and other denominations, will be with us to celebrate the beginning of Father Chip’s ministry here. The institution service also reminds us that the Bishop is our chief pastor, preacher, and liturgical presider.
The Prayer Book calls the service as a whole, Celebration of New Ministry. It begins with the Institution, which is when the Bishop, the Wardens, and the Congregation formally affirm that he is the Rector. There is another part called The Induction when the Bishop, the Clergy, and the Congregation present to him symbols of the varied ministries he will lead us in. Then he joins the Bishop at the Altar to lead us in Holy Eucharist.
Anyone and everyone can come and we hope you will.
We would like to see the Grace Church filled and overflowing !
Donation envelopes can be found on the table in the rear of the church.

Invitations and Notices Regarding the Institution
Invitations and notices regarding the Institution and Induction of our Seventeenth Rector of Grace Church have been sent to the appropriate community organizations, churches and individuals.

The envelopes are on the table at the back of the church are available for contributions for the services as well as the reception to follow. You may also write a message to Fr. Chip on the enclosed slip, if you would like to do so. Any amount to offset the cost of this important event in the life of Grace Church is gratefully appreciated. Financial Overview Meeting Held on June 23, 2019
Father Chip and Joe Gallo,Senior Warden , reviewed Grace's financial situation on June 23rd.We have a "bare bones" budget. In order to cover our expenses, we need each parishioner to try to pay their pledge on time. There are white envelopes in the back of the church to use to make a donation in thanksgiving for special days: a birthday, an anniversary, a birth of a baby, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. With your prayer and financial support Grace la Gracia will be able to meet its budget. - Charlotte Roberson

Donations for Electronic Options
If anyone has e-readers, iPads, kindles etc. that they are not using, please consider donating them to Grace Church. We would like to cut back on the number of paper bulletins we are printing and will offer an electronic option to those who are comfortable using these devices. Please see Michael Heffner or John or Elizabeth Carden.
