“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
- Matthew 7:24-25 -
Kids are watching.
Watch a child around an adult and they will mimic them, impersonate them, they will even respond like them. Kids are watching how parents react in times of difficulty, and in times of joy. When a loving father relies on Jesus, he stands firm in his faith, firm in his beliefs, and firm in trusting that God has a divine plan for him and his children, even during challenging times. A loving father, though, is still a sinner, so that father knows he needs a firm foundation that will never fail; He needs Jesus who makes him righteous and upright and strong. The Apostle Paul states,
“And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.” -Romans 3:22
Faith in Jesus is a father’s greatest influence on his child, because a Father’s influence always goes far beyond teaching their children how to ride a bike or how to fish. A father’s responsibility spans providing for and protecting their family. A father is to lead his family in faith, and when he does, he stands on an unmovable foundation. Bringing our children to the Lord is a legacy that lasts forever.
This Sunday, we celebrate a FATHER’S FIRM FOUNDATION in Christ.
See you Sunday- I can’t wait!

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:19–21
