New chapters always begin with a new page. School is wrapping up for seniors, and the following Saturday, a new page is turning for our graduates at Grace Fellowship. Studies will have concluded, class doors will be closed, and tassels will be moved as the red carpet of life is rolled out of the school lobby into the world. It is an exciting and invigorating time, but it can be intimidating and scary. Soon, the comfort of mom’s cooking and familiar school halls will be left behind for new adventures, studies, and work. Where should those graduates go? What should they do?
In our Old Testament reading this Sunday, the Psalmist
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go for to you I entrust my life.
- Psalm 143:8
I really love that, in fact, I love it so much it is my prayer every morning at the edge of my bed.
Lord remind me of your relentless love. I trust you, show me where I should go, I entrust my whole life to you. What a way to start the day! Sunday, I will suggest this prayer to our graduates, as well, because if they put their trust in the Lord, He will give them direction, comfort, and strength in their days away from home.
See you Sunday, I can’t wait!
