Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;
save me and I will be saved,
for you are the one I praise.
-Jeremiah 17:14-
Sick bodies are no fun. The older we get, the more ailments we have. Some of you are suffering right now with sickness, disease, and injury. You go to the doctor, take the medicines, and do the rehab. We curate our bodies as much as we can, but eventually, inevitably, our bodies will fail. Apart from Christ, we are hopelessly failing.
But we are not apart from him- far from it! Christ came to us and by his blood, we are healed. He also showed us time and time again that he is the Great Physician who heals blindness, sickness, and disease. Jesus is the long-promised Messiah who would come and heal us from the eternal disease of sin that leads only to death. He healed us, restored us, and reminded us that one day, our bodies will be perfect. As the Apostle Paul states,
20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. - Philippians 3:20-21
Thanks be to God! Sunday we continue our series - The Hands of the Lord who Heals
Pastor Austin
PRAYER: Lord, we thank you for the promise that you will restore our bodies and make all things new. We look forward to the day we are healthy and restored eternally, forever. Be with us today as we anxiously await the day when our bodies are eternally perfect.

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:19–21

I am excited to announce our membership classes titled “Connected in Christ.” This will be an opportunity for THE ENTIRE congregation to unite together in classes as we learn and grow. In four 30-minute sessions, we will cover topics such as God’s overall redemption story, tools for study, our desperate need for salvation, and God’s answer. We will discuss law and Gospel, the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, and our profession of faith, the Apostle's Creed. We will reflect on the gifts God has given us including his sacraments of Baptism and Communion, and His church. We will also discuss our church Grace Fellowship, and our mission to Proclaim, Nurture, and Serve in the name of Jesus.
This is a joyous time to be at Grace Fellowship, as we establish our formal membership list for voting on church matters at our congregational meetings, and prepare to move into the construction phase of our future building.
I am asking that ALL of us attend all four classes as we formally establish our membership list preparing to move into our new building. Class dates and times are listed above. If you are out of town, please contact me at Austin@GraceGypsum.com and we can set up a private 30-minute class for your family. Membership is not exclusive, it is inclusive and all are invited to attend, learn, grow, and share in the confession of faith together. Exciting!
In Christ,
Pastor Austin
