God is Love.
-1 John 4:16
How could God love me, Austin Kraft? How could God possibly love you? We both have something in common -we are sinners. Yet, through his immeasurable grace, God sent his son Jesus, to love us, to forgive and renew all us.
Doris and John Kirchner reminded me of this Monday at our Castle Peak service. Doris and John are faithful members of Grace Fellowship, and bless us weekly with piano and voice, leading our Monday morning congregation in worshipful praise to our Lord.
With Doris behind the grand piano and John behind the skinny microphone, the music filled the room, while the words of Philip Bliss filled our hearts.
I am so glad that our Father in Heav’n
Tells of His love in the Book He has giv’n
Wonderful things in the Bible I see,
This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.
I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves even me.
Through I forget Him and wander away,
Still He doth love me wherever I stray;
Back to His dear loving arms would I flee
When I remember that Jesus loves me.
I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves even me.
O if there’s only one song I can sing
When in His beauty I see the great King,
This shall my song in eternity be:
“O what a wonder, that Jesus loves me!”
I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves even me.
