And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with the will of God.
- Romans 8:27-
This Friday is All Saint’s Day, a Christian memorial day celebrating and honoring the lives of all who believed in Jesus living out their faith - whether known or unknown, popular, or unpopular. All who have believed and died before us are saints. But sainthood is not just reserved for them. November 1st is always a wonderful reminder that in Christ, by grace through faith we can all rejoice in sainthood. Lost and condemned sinners like us are sainted in Jesus who took our sins away, and whose robe of righteousness we proudly wear today. We didn’t earn the robe, we didn’t buy it either. In love, Jesus gave us the righteous robe; therefore, we can put on our robe as the uniform of the saint worn into eternity.
God makes it clear that a saint is anyone who trusts in Jesus alone for eternal salvation.
“Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people (saints) in Jerusalem.”
-Romans 8:27
God’s holy people are saints, and saints are holy because of God.
And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. - Hebrews 10:10
This Friday, let us stop and rejoice for those saints who have gone before us. Though we miss them, we rejoice in the eternal life given to them in Christ Jesus their Lord. Let us also rejoice for each other and thank Jesus for the uniform of salvation. … Lookin’ good fellow saint … lookin’ good.
See you Sunday as we give thanks for our salvation. -I can’t wait!

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
