If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

-Romans 10:9-

Jesus is Lord!

One of the most wonderful joys of God’s church is our common faith.  We believe individually, but we share this belief TOGETHER!   What we believe is that Jesus is Lord.  Other organizations deny who Jesus really is. They say they know Jesus, but deny that he is truly Lord.  Some organizations try to change who Jesus is -but our Lord cannot be changed (see Malachi 3:6).  These are not the Lord’s church.  We know Jesus is not just a nice guy, a great teacher, or a proclaiming prophet.  He is nothing less than Lord of all.

One of the ways we profess our faith individually and as a church is through the Apostle’s Creed.  These words are not archaic, they are timeless words and an easy way for Christians to profess our beliefs together.  These words of affirmation are wonderful.

“I believe in God, the Father almighty,

maker of heaven and earth,

And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died and was buried.

He descended into hell.

The third day he rose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven

and sits at the right hand of God

the Father almighty.

From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy Christian Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting. Amen.”

I am thankful for this mighty truth that we can proclaim together.  Today, may God’s Word assure you of your salvation in Jesus.   Sunday, I look forward to seeing all of you as we profess our faith together.  I can’t wait!

Jesus is Lord!

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

An Update from Corazon de Esperanza

THANK YOU!

Your participation in the Llama Run 5k helped Gianella escape a life on the streets and provided her with a safe place to live. Thank you for your amazing generosity.

Thanks to you and many others, our first annual event was a success, raising over $9,500 to help vulnerable youth in Peru find safety within our walls. You provided over three months of safe housing to eight girls who have left orphan care and are on their own. You are changing lives across the world through your generosity.

Thank you, again, for making a HUGE difference.
