Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner
A boisterous and joyful crowd met for our Mardi Gras youth fundraiser this past Tuesday. Our young people helped cook pancakes, decorate and hide “Alleluia’s”, and sing with the Stuckey-Slingluff family band. We give a special thank you to all the adult volunteers who organized this event.

2022 Lenten Devotional Booklet
As you will have noticed, Grace Church’s 2022 Lenten Devotional Booklet is now being delivered daily to parishioners via email. For those of you who have friends or relatives who would like to see the booklet, or those who would like to make a hard copy of the entire booklet, a PDF copy is available on Grace’s website; the link is two-thirds of the way down on the home page, or you can download a copy here. The online version has the added feature of an interactive table of contents that allows you to click on a particular date to access that day’s reflection.
Many, many thanks to all who worked to make this year’s Lenten booklet possible—writers, editors, producers and distributors. May these daily reflections, in company with prayer, Scripture, outreach, conversation and the variety of disciplines, guide us all through a holy Lent and into a joyful Easter.

Parish Prayer Concerns & Thanksgivings
That we may proclaim the good news that our generous God makes no distinctions: all who call upon the Lord will be saved. That we, who follow Jesus, may experience the Lenten wilderness as a place of both testing and triumph. For God’s help in a time of great trial, and particularly, for the people of Ukraine, that God will hear their cries, see their affliction and deliver them from tyranny and bloodshed. That God will grant the leaders of our country, state and city the wisdom and strength to lead those they govern through the times of difficulty and sacrifice that are almost certainly to come. That God will show us possibilities in the midst of devastation, and grant us the faith and the will to act on those possibilities. That God will root out bias and prejudice, resentment, fear and hatred, and the urge to transform these into violent acts against others. In thanksgiving for all who contributed to the writing, editing, production and delivery of this year’s Lenten Devotional Booklet. For those who struggle daily with mental and emotional illness. For those who are imprisoned, and those who face a difficult and uncertain new life after release. For those who are weighed down by seasonal affective disorder. For those who have been commended to our prayers this week, especially, Claire; Vivian H.; Noreen K.; Nadal; Jason & family; Clark; Vivian & Michael L.; Gwen & Marybeth; Roger; Bill; Anne, Moe & family; Mercedes; Jean; Sybil; Mary; Jane; Dolores; Theo & family; David; Ron & Betsy; Karl S.; Ginny; Sohee; Donald; and all who suffer from COVID-19. For those who endure chronic or incurable illnesses; and those who care for sick or aging loved ones. For all who have died, especially F. Donald Logan, dear friend of Martha Foley and Claude Scales, and all those killed in the invasion of Ukraine; and for all who mourn.
