Embodied Centering Prayer
Saturday, March 28th, 10am-3pm
Led by Lindsay Boyer and Ildiko Viczian

We are called to awaken and strengthen our bodies and spirits to face life’s challenges. This day of Centering Prayer will invite us to come fully into our bodies in our meditation practice. We will listen to our bodies, their needs and their sacred wisdom.

The day will include a brief review of Centering Prayer with an emphasis on how we can be physically present during our practice. Guest teacher Ildiko Viczian will introduce Somatic Awareness practices of breath, alignment and movement, grounding us in our bodies as we intend to open to the experience of God’s presence and power.

We will spend time in Centering Prayer with a break for lunch in silence. Recommended for beginners and more experienced Centering Prayer practitioners. A $20 donation is requested to cover the cost of a light lunch and to help us sponsor future events, but if you are unable to donate please come anyway!

For more information or for RSVP contact Lindsay at  lindsay@lindsayboyer.com .

2020 Annual Giving Campaign

For those who requested them, pledge envelopes are on the Welcome Table at the back of the church.

Also at the back of the church is our Thank You Scroll acknowledging the 205 individuals and households who have contributed $692,138 toward this year's Campaign. We are so grateful for your support of God's mission.

Have you made your pledge yet? If not, may we encourage you to do so now? YOU are the foundation upon which we build!

You may submit a pledge card found on the Welcome Table at the back of the church or in the pews online through Realm, our church management system.
Community Help in Park Slope
Have you ever seen someone arrive at Church with groceries and wondered why in the world they were bringing food to a Sunday service? For years Grace Church has collected food for CHiPS.

CHiPS needs many items to support its outreach, both food and nonfood. Recommended are: FOOD -- staples for on-site use, such as family-sized containers of mayonnaise, peanut butter, and sugar. Please note that smaller cans and jars are less useful. NONFOOD -- heavy duty contractor strength black bags, toilet paper, paper towels, Mr. Clean, bleach, dishwashing liquid, laundry soap (powder, liquid, pellets), saran wrap, aluminum foil, hair nets, plastic gloves (one time use: medium & large).

Robin Ketchum & Susan Bluhm are heading this effort. Please contact Robin with any questions or to get involved. We give in other ways too, but now we are highlighting our basket in the back of the church. It waits for your contributions. Please help fill it up!
Thanks For Being Our Hosts
Thank you to Jill and John Gilbert and Diane and Bruce Gregory for a lovely coffee hour this past Sunday after the 11:00 am service.

We are most grateful for your devotion and
faithfulness to Grace Church.
Calling All Coffee Hour Hosts
Coffee Hour is a special time for fellowship and conversation among church members. To help further this fellowship we are looking for volunteers to host the Coffee Hour after the 11:00 am service.

It can be as simple or as elaborate (but not expensive!) as you like: fruits, carrots, celery with hummus dips, or pastries, cookies or brownies. Bring your favorite goodies to share. You can also make a monetary donation and let the Church do the shopping for you.

Please consider this special ministry and volunteer a small amount of time to host. If you are interested, please select a date and add your name on the sign up sheet in the back of the church or you can contact Emily Horcher and/or Marilyn Grant . We thank you!
