Radical welcome. Faithful worship. Compassionate service.
Worship at Grace Church

Grace Church has resumed in-person worship, with social distancing and other safety measures in place. In-person worship is now offered at the 11 AM service, with celebration of the Eucharist. As is recommended by the Diocese of Long Island, only the host will be distributed. Also, as recommended, there is a limit of fifty persons in the church. Because seating is so limited, we strongly encourage online reservations of seats. Click the Register button below to reserve a seat.
For those wishing to worship at home, the service is available as a livestream, simulcast on Zoom (The 9:15 AM Family Service continues to be offered on Zoom only.) Before worshiping with us in person, be sure to read our COVID-19 In-Person Worship Guidelines.

Thank you for again gathering with us safely!
Giving to Grace: 2021 Annual Giving Campaign

Grace has launched its 2021 Annual Giving campaign! As we kick off this appeal in the midst of unprecedented challenges from COVID, our goals are both realistic and optimistic: We seek to maintain our current ministries and programs while responding to new opportunities for growth and healing.

As Stewardship chairs, we hope our fellow parishioners will prayerfully consider supporting the continued strength of our community and Grace’s ministries. If you are an active pledger we are asking you, if able, to increase your 2020 pledge by 10%. If you have never pledged before, we are asking you to do so now. Offerings to the plate have dropped dramatically since the church was closed this spring and is now reduced in the number of worshipers who can attend in person.

Letters and pledge cards are in the mail, but please feel free to contact either of us (Seth or Andrew) with any questions. You can make a pledge online through your Realm account, by returning the pledge card you receive or by dropping a pledge card in the offering plate. And if you need help signing into that account, please let us know. We’re happy to help!

Every pledge matters – and we hope you will join us and our families in supporting the mission of our Church.

Sunday, Nov. 22: Using the Prayer Book for daily prayer with Rev. Erika

The Camba Pie Project at Grace Church
Drop off store bought pies on Sunday, November 22 at Grace by 12:30 pm.
Our partners at CAMBA help us to host the rotating men’s shelter each November at Grace. Although the shelter program is on hiatus during the pandemic, the CAMBA Respite Bed Program is organizing The Pie Project for this Thanksgiving. Pies will be collected from Brooklyn congregations and delivered to Beyond Hunger (CAMBA’s Food Pantry). The pies need to be commercially produced, not needing refrigeration- apple, pumpkin or sweet potato

Another Thanksgiving Giving Opportunity

Along with this year's Pie Drive (see above), each Thanksgiving, CAMBA runs a Turkey Drive. With the funds raised they buy the makings of Thanksgiving meals for families served by the CAMBA food pantry. In the past, they served around 500 families. This year, they are anticipating more than 750 families. Donations are needed for that effort.
You can click here or on the flyer below for the link to give donations.
-Please note that it is for the Turkey Drive,
-what congregation you are from
-and add RBP-(Respite Bed Program- our CAMBA partner.)

Join Our Advent Scripture Circle
Sunday, Nov. 29 - Thursday, Dec.24

The year is coming to a close, and what a year it’s been! As we begin the new liturgical calendar, Advent is our time to stop, re-set, and prepare ourselves for the coming of Jesus and the possibility of Beloved Community. You’re invited to join our online Advent circle in a daily scripture reading and moment of reflection, at whatever time is convenient to you.

Carve out a moment of calm in your day to share a few words and intentions in response to the scripture or simply to be inspired by reading the posts of others. Let’s celebrate this Advent by watching and waiting together, reflecting and posting together, in a spirit of hope and peace. Register to join the Advent Circle here

The Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 10. At that meeting we will be electing a new Junior Warden to a two-year term, three new Vestry members for a three-year term, and three current Vestry members for a second three-year term. For new members to the Vestry, we seek individuals who are (1) regular and faithful in their attendance at worship services, (2) active participants in the life of the Church, (3) supportive of the Church through an annual pledge, (4) willing to assume a leadership role in one of the Church’s ministries, (5) able to attend regular Vestry meetings and (6) a team player. The Nominating Committee consists of the Rev. Allen Robinson, Wardens Kate Rock and Marilyn Grant and outgoing Vestry Members Andrew Foote, Mary Jacobus, and Abagail Nelson. The Nominating Committee welcomes input and recommendations from the Parish. If you or someone you know is interested in discussing a role on the Vestry, please email Kate Rock or Marilyn Grant.

Thank you for your on-going support as we continue to worship remotely. We are happy to let you know that you may now make pledge or general offering donations by text!

Please send a text to 73256 with the message "GraceBrooklyn". The first time, you will be prompted to provide your name and address, including your card number. If you save that information for future use, the second offering by text will be immediate. You may also make one time pledge payments and general offering donations on line here.

If you would like to set up a recurring pledge payment on Realm, please contact Kate Rock for an invitation to join.
In Remembrance or Gratitude...

Weekday Visits to Grace

To insure your safety and maintain the workplace standards established by the Department of Health, we ask you to let us know ahead of time when you will be stopping by. When you visit please use only the Clergy Door, which is the first door on your right in the Hicks Street courtyard. Sign the Visitors Log at the door (should we need to do any contact tracing), sanitize your hands and, as always, wear a mask.

To minimize traffic, particularly while children are at school, please refrain from moving through the Parish Hall. The restroom at the back of the sanctuary is available for your use. We thank you!
