Things Hold Together
St. Paul writes to the Colossians: “Christ himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” I have been grateful to see how the risen Christ has been holding us together at Grace during these challenging days. Even while we are physically apart from one another, truly we are a community that is together in Christ to provide connection and care.
I am grateful to see the many ways in which people at Grace are supporting one another during the pandemic. Elders and Stephen Ministers call to check in on members who may otherwise be isolated. Younger members go grocery shopping for senior members. Teachers provide outstanding curriculum and support for our Grace School students. Volunteers drop off Easter baskets for Sunday school families. People gather for coffee and devotions over Zoom. (

I could go on, but I won’t. Instead, I invite you to watch for stories in this issue of Grace Notes and in the weeks to come. Even more, I encourage you to find ways to link up with and check in on fellow members of the Grace community. If you’re in need, please reach out to me, whether the need is financial, spiritual, or just to find a time to talk.
We may not look like we’re together, but we are. Christ is risen, and in him we find bonds of grace that cannot be broken. Be well, friends. You are loved.
