Raise Right Orders are due THIS Sunday!

Please visit raiseright.com to place your order or download the RaiseRight app to your phone. If you’re not yet enrolled in Raise Right we would LOVE to have you participate. It is a fundraising program based on the sale of gift cards. You purchase them as face value through Raise Right and Grace receives a predesignated percentage of your purchases. Nearly everything you can think of is available for purchase. Some popular ones are Target, Starbucks, Kwik Trip, Piggly Wiggly, Meijer, Sendicks, Home Depot, this list goes on and on. They make great teacher gifts and stocking stuffers and some are even reloadable online so you can fill up a card for a college kid that’s away from home. To sign up to fundraise for Grace just use the enrollment code B7BAC4F663645. I place the order the third Sunday of every month and the cards will be available for pick up the following Sunday. Please contact Chantal Murack at cmurack@uwalumni.com or 802-309-5081 with any questions.

Join us Friday, December 20th, at 7pm for Cedarburg's Festive Friday Eve. Grace will be doing a live nativity at the intersection of Washington and the Interurban trail (next to Advent Lutheran Church). We need people to play the parts of Mary, Joseph, shepherds, angels, animals, a narrator, as well as people to sing carols. Costumes are provided and we will have some light refreshments before and after the performance.

SIGN UP FOR LIVE NATIVITY!

Snow Removal Ministry

Are you looking for a way to serve at Grace? We are looking for more people to help remove the snow from the sidewalks during the winter. Some of the people who have served in the past are unable to this year. We need additional members to continue this service and reduce the workload for everyone.

We hire a service to plow the parking lot, but volunteers save the congregation money by clearing the sidewalks. We have snow blowers, shovels and salt to provide a safe entry to Grace and the community.

People are assigned to teams of two people. You would be matched with a veteran who has helped in the past. Your team would be assigned five to six weeks from November through early May. The more teams we have the less weeks you are responsible for clearing snow.

If you are interested in removing snow, please contact Mark Koehler at (262) 957-7594 or markkoehler4@gmail.com ASAP as the snow will be coming soon. If you have any questions, you may contact Mark.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY AT GRACE

The Prayer Shawl Ministry Group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 7 p.m. at Grace. We meet this month on December 4 and 18 to finish 2024.

All are welcome – if you crochet or knit, or even want to learn – please join us. If you have questions, you can contact either Sherie Duwe at 262-377-6740, or Lori Mathias at 262-825-6632. If you know of a Grace member that could benefit from a Prayer Shawl, please contact Jean Fugate, Director of Ministries.

Grace Youth Programs are going to QUAKE!

We are excited to invite your child to attend Quake, a transformative event designed specifically for youth in grades 6-12. Quake is not just another youth event—it’s an experience that has the power to change lives.

At Quake, your child will be surrounded by other young people who are eager to explore their faith in a safe, welcoming environment. With dynamic speakers, powerful worship, and engaging activities, Quake provides the perfect setting for your child to deepen their relationship with God and discover their unique purpose

Through breakout sessions, small group discussions, and inspiring messages, your youth will be encouraged to step out of their comfort zone and take bold steps in their faith journey. Beyond the spiritual growth, Quake is also a time for fun and friendship. Your youth will have the chance to participate in exciting activities, make new friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

When: February 14-16, 2025 (we will leave later afternoon on Friday)

Where: Wisconsin Dells

Cost: We are estimating a cost of about $350. That would include the registration cost ($129.00) and the cost of the hotel. We believe that price should never be a barrier to attend youth events. If you need financial assistance, just let us know.

If your child is interested, please complete the form by clicking below by December 22!

I serve on the Board of Directors for Crossways Camps, and I’m proud to share that Crossways has been selected for Thrivent's annual Carols for a Cause event. Thrivent is spotlighting 5 non-profit organizations to spread holiday joy and foster community through song and friendly competition.

The goal is to encourage as many people as possible to vote for the Crossways Camps Carol performance. You do not need to be a Thrivent member. To vote, you simply need to have an email address. Each vote brings us closer to winning valuable financial support for Crossways Camping Ministry programs. The organization with the most votes wins $15,000. Second place is awarded $12,500. Third place is awarded $10,000. Fourth place is awarded $7,500. Fifth place is awarded $5,000.  Will you help us reach First Place and receive $15,000 for Crossways Camps?

Voting will take less than 1 minute each day that you cast your vote.

Your support means the world to Crossways! Here’s how you can help Crossways shine in this event:

  1. Use the QR code or link to vote for Crossways Camps once each day from December 8th - December 14th. This link will open for voting on December 8th and remain open through December 14th:  https://bit.ly/ECarols24
  2. Share the QR code and https://bit.ly/ECarols24 link and encourage your friends and family to vote too!
  3. Spread holiday cheer by sharing our Carol performance on social media and tagging us!

Every vote makes a difference in supporting the impact we have on campers, families, and faith communities. Let’s come together this holiday season and support our Camping Ministry!

Grace Lutheran Church Financial Summary
We as a Church Council have decided in the spirit of continuous improvement and transparency to the congregation to begin publishing a summary of the church's financials on a monthly basis. We feel this is in everyone's best interest to be transparent and aligned upon the financial health of the church.

In these monthly reports, we will include:
  1. Income & Expense Results from the Most Recent Month
  2. Income & Expense Results on a Year-To-Date basis
  3. A Summary of Cash Balances
  4. A Summary of Debt Balances
  5. A Summary of Year-To-Date Giving vs. Prior Periods

We welcome any feedback or suggestions as we continue to find the best ways to engage with the congregation.

Thank you Thrivent Members!
