Snow Removal Ministry

Are you looking for a way to serve at Grace? We are looking for more people to help remove the snow from the sidewalks during the winter. Some of the people who have served in the past are unable to this year. We need additional members to continue this service and reduce the workload for everyone.

We hire a service to plow the parking lot, but volunteers save the congregation money by clearing the sidewalks. We have snow blowers, shovels and salt to provide a safe entry to Grace and the community.

People are assigned to teams of two people. You would be matched with a veteran who has helped in the past. Your team would be assigned five to six weeks from November through early May. The more teams we have the less weeks you are responsible for clearing snow.

If you are interested in removing snow, please contact Mark Koehler at (262) 957-7594 or markkoehler4@gmail.com ASAP as the snow will be coming soon. If you have any questions, you may contact Mark.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY AT GRACE

The Prayer Shawl Ministry Group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 7 p.m. at Grace. Meeting dates for November are the 6th and 20th. Also, the group recently took a short break from creating shawls to crocheting scarves to donate to All People’s. In one month, 40 scarves were made for those in need at All People’s.

All are welcome – if you crochet or knit, or even want to learn – please join us. If you have questions, you can contact either Sherie Duwe at 262-377-6740, or Lori Mathias at 262-825-6632. If you know of a Grace member that could benefit from a Prayer Shawl, please contact Jean Fugate, Director of Ministries.

We as a Church Council have decided in the spirit of continuous improvement and transparency to the congregation to begin publishing a summary of the church's financials on a monthly basis. We feel this is in everyone's best interest to be transparent and aligned upon the financial health of the church.

In these monthly reports, we will include:
  1. Income & Expense Results from the Most Recent Month
  2. Income & Expense Results on a Year-To-Date basis
  3. A Summary of Cash Balances
  4. A Summary of Debt Balances
  5. A Summary of Year-To-Date Giving vs. Prior Periods

We welcome any feedback or suggestions as we continue to find the best ways to engage with the congregation.
