Raise Right Orders are due THIS Sunday! Please visit raiseright.com to place your order or download the RaiseRight app to your phone. If you’re not yet enrolled in Raise Right we would LOVE to have you participate. It is a fundraising program based on the sale of gift cards. You purchase them as face value through Raise Right and Grace receives a predesignated percentage of your purchases. Nearly everything you can think of is available for purchase. Some popular ones are Target, Starbucks, Kwik Trip, Piggly Wiggly, Meijer, Sendicks, Home Depot, this list goes on and on. They make great teacher gifts and stocking stuffers and some are even reloadable online so you can fill up a card for a college kid that’s away from home. To sign up to fundraise for Grace just use the enrollment code B7BAC4F663645. I place the order the third Sunday of every month and the cards will be available for pick up the following Sunday. Please contact Chantal Murack at cmurack@uwalumni.com or 802-309-5081 with any questions.

CAR NEEDED

Dear Members of grace,

Meg Boren here with a Nicaraguan need!

My Nicaraguan board president Oneyda has a brother living in Milwaukee, who is in the process of legalization. He and his significant other just had a baby in July - Amy!

They need two incomes to be stable here, and Mon has secured day care, and is ready to return to work.

A second car is needed for them to succeed, but they have a limited budget up to $2,000 is all they can afford. I am asking for assistance reaching out to get such a car. Their commute is not far but more than they can manage, with a new baby! Please let me know if you have any options 🙏2623308522

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY AT GRACE

The Prayer Shawl Ministry has now been active at Grace for one year. Many members, as well as patients in the Aurora Cancer Center, have benefited from the wonderful shawl creations from the group. We just started up again for the fall. We will meet on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 7 p.m. at Grace. Dates for the fall include September 18, and October 2 and 16.

All are welcome – if you crochet or knit, or even want to learn – please join us. If you have questions, you can contact either Sherie Duwe at 262-377-6740, or Lori Mathias at 262-825-6632. If you know of a Grace member that could benefit from a Prayer Shawl, please contact Jean Fugate, Director of Ministries.

Hello Grace Church,

Hope you have not forgotten us! We always need those sheets that are in usable condition, plain or pattern. We now have added bed pads to our list, also in usable condition. We need to have 300 or more quilts finished by fall so that we can supply the many organizations that depend on us for the persons they serve. We are behind this year! Give us a hand so we can work our fingers to the bone and supply those organizations as we have in the past.

If you have some time on your hands, check us out any Tuesday from 9:00 to noon. treats are always available.

Thank you for your past donations, money or other. they are so helpful to keep us creating quilts.

Grace Lutheran Church Financial Summary
We as a Church Council have decided in the spirit of continuous improvement and transparency to the congregation to begin publishing a summary of the church's financials on a monthly basis. We feel this is in everyone's best interest to be transparent and aligned upon the financial health of the church.

In these monthly reports, we will include:
  1. Income & Expense Results from the Most Recent Month
  2. Income & Expense Results on a Year-To-Date basis
  3. A Summary of Cash Balances
  4. A Summary of Debt Balances
  5. A Summary of Year-To-Date Giving vs. Prior Periods

We welcome any feedback or suggestions as we continue to find the best ways to engage with the congregation.

Thank you Thrivent Members!
