A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Fall Festival & Trunk-or-Treat Volunteers!

Our 2026 Fall Festival & Trunk-or-Treat was an absolute joy, and it simply could not have happened without the incredible dedication of our volunteer team. From the early morning prep to the final cleanup, your hard work created an unforgettable day of community, food, and fun for all of our church families.

We want to extend a special thank you to the hands and hearts that made each part of our day run so smoothly:

  • Our Wonderful Lunch Crew: Thank you for keeping everyone fed, happy, and energized throughout the day with your warmth and hospitality.
  • Festival Setup & Games Coordination: Thank you for your tireless behind-the-scenes work transforming our grounds into a fun trunk-or-treat and fall festival game area.
  • Our Energetic Game & Activity Leaders: Thank you for bringing endless enthusiasm, smiles, and laughter to the kids and families at every single station.

Whether you served food, ran a game station, decorated a trunk, or helped clean up at the end of the day, your presence was a true blessing. Thank you for giving your time, energy, and love to make this season so special for our community!

With deep gratitude,

The Youth & Family Committee

Taste and See the Joy:

Host Our Next Hospitality Hour!

As we enter this beautiful season of gratitude and thanksgiving, there is no better time to share the warmth of our community. Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be the smiling face behind our beloved Hospitality Hour (Coffee Hour) between worship services? It is a wonderfully rewarding, fun, and easy way to spark joy and welcome neighbors and lifelong friends alike into the fellowship ministry at Grace Lutheran!

Bringing our community together is simple and incredibly fulfilling. Here is how you can jump in:

  • Choose your Sunday: Pick a date that speaks to you in November or December to share your grateful heart.
  • Share simple blessings: We set up a dedicated table for your treats. Just bring a few easy, continental-style snacks—think fresh fruit, savory cheese and crackers, sweet Danish, or your favorite autumn or holiday cookies.
  • Leave the logistics to us: Parish Life takes care of the rest! We provide the hot coffee and refreshing drinks, along with all the paper plates, cups, napkins, and utensils you'll need.
  • Double the fun: Don't host alone! Gather your family, invite a friend, or round up your small group to share the laughter and joy of hosting together.

Let's fill November and December with welcoming tables and warm conversation. Ready to step into the joy or want to learn more? You can find the sign-up roster in the Fellowship Hall. Reach out to your Parish Life Committee guides: Carla Harrison, Irene Pointon, Adele Evans, ShirLee Alfors, Terri Schavey, or Brenda Mills with questions.

SENIORS @ GRACE

*November 12 Saying Grace.  Come join us for a Grace Lutheran Church Friendsgiving. Our meal will feature food from the Grace Lutheran Church Cookbooks. (Note this is the 2nd week of November.) Plus, our friend Dr. Kristen Wunderlich will be coming to join us with her voice students. Each of her students will sing a song from their repertoire.  It will be a wonderful combination of good music, good food and good friends. Please note that we are meeting early at 11:00 AM and we will start with our program about 11:15 AM. (The students will need to get back to classes by 12:30 PM.) Lunch ($6.00) will follow the program and we want our guests to get food as well. We hope you can join us! Contact information for RSVPs: Annie-Laurie Wheat cell phone (803) 517-0626 or house phone (803) 980-1834 or wheatannielaurie@gmail.com

A Prayer Request from Our Outreach Partner

Sharon Floyd, founder and executive director of Better Bound Book Store & Youth Development, one of Grace’s Outreach grant partners, asks for prayers for her husband, Robert, as he awaits a kidney transplant. His blood type is B+.

Please keep Robert and Sharon in your prayers—for a matching donor, a successful transplant, and strength and peace throughout this journey. Sharon shares, “Our faith remains strong,” and expresses gratitude for the congregation’s prayers and support.
