GRACE NOTES
September 29 - October 6, 2020
At Grace's September Council meeting, Grace's Council identified a new date for returning to in-person worship. Grace will resume offering in-person worship opportunities on October 18, similar to the way we did several months ago.

Click here to read a brief update from Pr. Gregg regarding this decision and a glance at the coming weeks.

Click here to see several brief summary points.

We appreciate your patience as we revise and update our plan for a return to in-person worship, and your prayerful participation as we continue together in the ministry we share!
While we are physically apart in the coming weeks, there are still many ways for us to be church together. We invite you to connect with one another by phone and make use of the resources in this publication, too!
Greetings from Jeremy and Craig!
This Sunday we will be hosting a post service social time on the Grace Facebook page. As usual, our service will go live on Facebook at 10:00 am. At 11:00 am, we will have conversation and more music. Join us for a musical Sunday!

Sundays with Grace

Our Sunday morning worship and fellowship opportunities are going strong!

We have been enjoying worshiping together via Facebook Premiere at 10am (and we know many others are also worshiping with us on Facebook and YouTube throughout the day). Our Facebook Live Coffee Hours at 11am continue to provide thought-provoking conversation as well as fun insights and connections with one another. Many friends, family members, and visitors also join us, and we are so glad to have these opportunities to be together while apart!

We look forward to being with you online!
WORSHIP ASSISTANT VIDEOS CONTINUE

We have been blessed to see one another in worship through our online worship assistants!

If you are interested in providing a worship assistant video, please click here to sign up for Sunday, October 11, (a.k.a. - not this week) and Pr. Gregg will contact you with the details you'll need.

Thanks to all who have helped lead us in worship so far and all those who will be leading us in the weeks to come!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

The next Bishop of the South Carolina Synod, the Rev. Virginia Solveig Aebischer, will be installed to the office of bishop on Sunday, October 4 at 3pm!

BOOKMARK / FAVORITE THE PAGE!

This is a great and joyous occasion for our whole synod, as we join together (virtually) to welcome our new bishop, rejoicing in God's continued guidance as we move into the future. Installations for bishops happen the same way as they do for pastors: within the worship service. This service will include not only the recognition of our new bishop's ministry, but also provide us with some Gospel hope in these uncertain times.

CLICK HERE to be redirected to the page where the installation will be shown and feel free to save it, however your web browser allows.

Children, Youth, and Adult Sunday School

This fall, our Learning Committee is creating at-home Sunday School for our 2 year olds - 12th graders! We are using "An Illustrated Earth: Celebrating God's Creation" and exploring the world God has made. There are specific materials for different age groups, but we'll all study the same Scripture passages each week.

This curriculum can also be used by adults and families! If you are not in the 2yr - 12th grade range, but would like to receive the materials for this fall's Creation Sunday School, please email Pr. Rachel here.
What's Happening with Hospitality?
Our Equipping Ourselves for Hospitality Goal for 2020 is well underway! A lot will be happening in the next few months, and we want to share the excitement with you! We'll use this block to post updates on the projects, as well as ways you can take part, so keep an eye out each week.

+We have ordered a lovely conference table which will arrive in mid-October. We'll be ordering chairs soon!

+We have painting plans underway and expect to begin the process of brightening up our Sunday School rooms the week of October 5th.

+We've gotten quotes for new flooring in the men's Bible study room and the conference room and will be scheduling those installations shortly.

+We're gathering quotes for window treatments that will brighten our space, look great from the outside, and provide more safety for evening meetings.

This is just the beginning of what we're working on; even more excitement is coming!

If you haven't yet volunteered, and would like to be part of these great projects, click here to let the Planning Team know. Thanks to those who have already signed up to help with various projects throughout our building!

Your continued generosity this year has paved the way for us to jump into these projects, knowing we have the financial and faith-filled support we need to make our Hospitality goal a reality! Thank you!

Each week we are led by a different member of our group of 'Men-in-Training' and the conversation has been meaningful. Those interested in participating should contact Pr. Gregg to get added to the Realm group where the meeting link is posted. There's always room for one more!

Help our Kids & Families with School!

Do you love a certain school subject? Are you passionate about education? You could help our Grace families thrive in hybrid/virtual school this year!

In talking to parents about the upcoming school year, the current number-one support Grace can offer is HOMEWORK and TUTORING HELP. Parents are going to be doing their best to help their kids learn and thrive in this environment, but we can all use a little help, especially for those subjects outside of our everyday fields.

If you'd like to offer your support to our families, please click HERE.
Thank you for supporting our families!
Young Youth & GYM are back in session!

More information about this year has been emailed directly to YY & GYM families. Please email Pr. Rachel with any questions.
We want YOU to participate in the next virtual hymn sing!

Young or old, if you love hymns as much as we do, send us an email ([email protected]) so we can send you more information about how to rehearse with us and add your voice to our sound for the next hymn sing!
Offering Our Gifts to God - Monetary Offering

  • Give online by clicking here (and you have the option to offset the cost of giving online)
  • Set up giving though your bank
  • Mail your offering to the church office.

Thank you for continued faithful giving!
Gifts & Talents Pictures

Our worship has been enhanced by your photos of projects, experiences, and joys these last few months - thank you for sharing! We would love to see more of what you're doing - please send photos to our Video Editor, Craig Allen by clicking here.
