Happy Anniversary!

Today, June 21, is our 99th Anniversary of becoming Grace Lutheran Church!

We were blessed to have Rev. Emily Scales Sutton, Executive Director of Bethel Shelters, with us this past Sunday.

Celebration of Life Service for Jim Alfors

Members and friends of Grace are invited to attend a service celebrating the life of Jim Alfors on Friday, June 24 at 1:00pm. A video of the service will be available on Grace's YouTube channel.

Seniors@Grace meets June 23 at 11:30am

Seniors @Grace are on the road for Thursday June 23, 2022. We are off to enjoy Italian food at Luigi and Sons at 2387 Cherry Road, Rock Hill. We will gather at the usual time of 11:30 am for some good conversation and appetizers followed by lunch. We will all probably order our usual favorites but maybe someone will want Cavatelli Di Casa Ala Nonna or Tortellini Palermo. Please let Annie-Laurie Wheat know if you can make it. On July 9, Inspirar will present a concert at Grace Lutheran Church. This choir, conducted by Dr. Mims, consists of professional singers from around the Carolinas. We are excited to share this music with our community!

OUTREACH UPDATES AND OPPORTUNITIES

Mark your calendar to be with us on July 24th at 10am, when Life House Executive Director Courtney Denton will be with us to share more about this ministry!

Volunteer opportunities at Life House include: adding new mulch in the back of the house, interior trim painting, kitchen cabinet painting, and pressure washing the driveway and sidewalks.

Ongoing volunteer opportunities: assist with transportation, visit with the women, serve a meal (click HERE for meal sign up).

Volunteers needed Monday through Thursday mornings

Needs for this week:

+ CEREAL (biggest need) + Pop Tarts + Grits & Oatmeal + Canned Beans, Baked Beans, Canned Corn + Jelly + Pancake Mix & Syrup

+ Spaghetti Sauce + Individual snack packs + Condiments + Coffee (Instant & Ground) + Dog food & Cat food + Body wash & Shampoo

+ Toothpaste & Toothbrushes + Feminine Hygiene Products + Toilet paper

You can drop items off in the bin located outside the church offices when you're in the building, and a volunteer will take them over to HOPE. Please only place non-perishable items in the bin!
