Baptism will take place during the 10 am service on
November 7, 2021

If you or someone you know would like to be baptized,

to fill out the necessary paperwork by October 17th.

must meet with Deacon Linda Crane on October 27th at 6pm.

SAFEGUARDING TRAINING



SAFEGUARDING GOD'S CHILDREN and
SAFEGUARDING GOD'S PEOPLE
are programs that were created by the Church Pension Group in association with Praesidium, Inc., in response to General Convention Resolution A156 which calls for dioceses to develop and institute policies for training.
It is a requirement that all staff & vestry, as well as any member of the church who volunteers with children or other groups within the church, to complete these courses every five years.

Please contact Tracey Larson if you have any questions or to sign-up to take these courses.
CHOIR NEWS
Youth Choir rehearsals will begin
Sunday September 19th at 9:30am in the
Chapel of the Holy Innocents. Children kindergarten through high school who enjoy singing are welcome to join!

CONFIRMATION CLASS
September 12th at 9am
A meeting with Deacon Linda Crane will be held for all participants and their parents/guardians. It is VERY important that all who plan to participate in this class attend. Youth ages 13-15 have been contacted about beginning Confirmation Classes and were sent a calendar for this first year of classes.

YOUTH GROUP
Youth Group will be starting on
Sunday September 26th
after church
from 11:30am-1:30pm.
Youth in grades 6th-12th
are invited to join.

Next Sunday, September 19th, we will begin the new
Whole Congregation Formation/Sunday School starting at
9am in the Gathering Place.

We understand that this is something new, but a lot of thought, time and study has been put into the implementation of this program. We hope you will give this endeavor a chance and join us with an open mind.

This first gathering on September 19th will explain the layout of the program and should answer most questions you have.

Our Pantry Needs Have Increased!!
We have added two new families to our weekly deliveries.
Grace Outreach and #C4Yourself church are so very grateful for your continued donations to our food pantry. We continue to, weekly, pack bags of food and toiletries for seniors and families identified by school principals. Below you can find the list of items we need to keep our pantry servicing the needs of our neighborhood community.
The church office is open Tuesday-Friday from 10am-4pm if you would like to donate items. Special thanks to Nancy Kelley, Jane Clay, and Carol White for their weekly packing and Kevin Totty and team for delivering these bags!

MINISTRY
Next meeting will be
Wednesday, October 13th at 11:00am in the kitchen of the MDA (Main Dining Area-basement) to prepare a soup for delivery to folks needing a little TLC. You don't need to bring anything, just yourself and maybe a favorite soup recipe we can prepare in about 2 hours from start to finish. We'll be making plans for the next few months. Everyone is welcome.

of each month at 10am.

If you know someone who might need comfort during an illness or trauma, we have prayer shawls that are made by this group just for that purpose.

If you would like to knit or crochet a shawl, we have yarn and patterns to get you started.

Don't be intimidated - this is a
"no pressure" group. Please come and see! We always have a friendly discussion and sometimes it's even about the book!
