For the week ending November 30, 2025

Grace Notes

Friday Devotional:

Psalm 122

One of my favorite ministries is sending care boxes to our church's college students shortly before finals twice a year. Members donate snacks, and a team packs and ships the boxes. When an opening came up to lead the ministry, Anne stepped up. She had suffered the loss of one daughter in a car accident, and her older daughter had just left for college. Anne felt called to stay in contact with young adults during their college years. She wanted them to know they were remembered by their church during the stressful and sleepless days of frantic cramming.

Finals week, winter darkness, and the holidays cause many people to dread this time of year. Not everyone looks forward to a "holly, jolly Christmas." Some churches offer Blue Christmas services to those who are grieving. God's peace enters softly-a phone call, an intimate candlelight service, a snack box in the mail.

How is God calling you to fill an opening in someone's heart this week?

Help us to share your peace with those who need it this season, O God. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Quilting and Fellowship

Every Wednesday at 9:00 am

The quilting group "Operation LOVE" at Our Redeemer has been creating quilts for the Lutheran World Relief quilt ministry for many years. About 100 quilts are sent annually to Lutheran World Relief for distribution to those in need around the world.

Operation LOVE meets every Wednesday at 9:00 am in the coffee room. Anyone interested in participating in this ongoing project is encouraged to join the group at any time.

Sewing/quilting experience is not essential since there are many different ways to give assistance as needed.

November Birthdays

✝Health Concerns:

Susan Rosewasser is hospitalized (Julie’s friend); Alex Callahan, Larry, Shirley & Scott Godwin are dealing with Larry’s Parkinson’s diagnosis; Dale and Lupe Dean; Darcy Ludwig is fighting cancer; Sharon is dealing with MS.

✝ All those who do not have shelter, and food insecurities.

Nation and World: the end of war; for an end to gun violence.

We are restarting our prayer list each quarter. This helps us to remove prayer concerns that are no longer needed.

If you want to add a name to our prayer list, don't hesitate to get in touch with the church office or
