PRINTING PROBLEMS?
We are willing and able to print your student's papers on an occasional basis. However, we can't do this all the time for everyone. So please provide a working, ink filled, paper ready printer at home for your student to use. If you need help with this let Nancy know at nancywilliams@graceprep.com or at 867-1177.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Thursday and Friday
October 15th-16th
We run our parent-teacher conferences a little differently at Grace Prep in comparison to other schools (surprise?). W
e try to have all of your student's teachers in the room at the same time with you (novel concept?). In order to keep the day running smoothly, appointments are available in 30 minute increments with the earliest at
8:30 AM
and the latest at
3:30 PM
. If you would like to discuss the academic progress of your student, email Nancy or call the school office at 814-867-1177 to schedule your appointment.

SENIORS AND PARENTS: COLLEGE FINANCING
Both a parent and the student need to create a PIN number. I
t's recommended you do this NOW as it can take awhile to receive your number.
Then, remember to have your tax return ready to go as soon as possible so you can have accurate financial aid information when making your college choice.

HOST FAMILIES
We still have a need for one more loving, Christian Grace Prep family to host an international girl student. The experience is fun and educational for you and your children. It offers the chance to make friends from all over the world. It has been known to enhance family relationships. It is a faith builder and it answers the call of the Great Commission.
All host families are compensated monetarily to offset food, utility and transportation expenses. If you have any interest, or know someone who would make a great host parent, please contact Megan Layng at megan08@layngs.com.

SMILE FOR THE CAMERA
School Picture Day is on Tuesday, October 6th, which is our first formal dress day of the year.
We do school pictures a little differently at Grace Prep (surprised?) After the pictures are taken and uploaded, we will email you a link to walmart.com and you can order whatever quantities and sizes you need. This makes school pictures affordable again and no need to worry about the quality. We've had parents questioned about the copyright in previous years because the quality is that of a professional studio.
School IDs are made from our school pictures and will be distributed to students around the middle of the month.

GRACE PREP SOCCER
Grace Prep soccer players are scheduled to have concussion testing done the first week of classes. A trainer from University Orthopedics will help us with the baseline testing.
Classes have begun, and now that everyone has had a chance to participate in Extreme Grace, we are going to take the field as a team... but we need ALL of you to make this successful. This means you, parents, students. and faculty! We need those who may not be participating to help us out with a few things. Grace Prep soccer is looking for someone to help us manage things during games days.
The manager(s) will take care of the following duties:
1. Fill the two water coolers
2. Make sure the first aid kit is at the field
3. Bring the scoreboard and scorers table with four chairs to the field and back to the school after the game
The official scorer will take care of the following duties:
1. Track our stats for the matches
2. W
ork the scoreboard and game clock to assist the referees
Come on out and support the team and your Grace Prep Storm.
Here are the upcoming home games:
Sept 29th - Blair County Christian
Please plan on attending each match and bringing your excitement!

BASEBALL? ALREADY!?!?
YES. The uniforms have to be ordered by
this Tuesday
, so Coach Greg Herman needs to know if you're interested in playing. Actually, he doesn't just need to know if you're interested, but he also needs to know your shirt size, your waist size, your inseam length, and yes even your hat size. So, don't think about it too long and contact him by email at
herman12@gmail.com
or phone at 814-933-7244
.
- Open gyms will start sometime in October. Dates and times are to be determined
- The team will be going to Florida for spring break (week of March 7th) to a baseball facility called Cocoa Expo. The players are only responsible for their flight. Estimate for the flight will be $350 round trip. Everything else will be taken care of. The trip to Florida is not mandatory. We also have some "scholarships" for those that can not afford the travel portion. We don't ever want a student not to play because of finances.
- Players are required to purchase a player pack that includes workout Tee Shirt and Shorts. This pack will be less than $50. Other items will be available to purchase with the player pack but only a few things will be mandatory.
- The activity fee for baseball is $200 and is payable to Grace Prep by April 1st.
