This year's Sports Banquet is on Tuesday, February 21st at 6:00 p.m. at Grace Prep. This is a wonderful event to celebrate our athletes and coaches. It takes many hands to make the event work so we encourage the sports families to help out. RSVP no later than Feb. 14th to Joanna at jlhaushalter@gmail.com.

Please remember to return your washed jerseys to Rebecca at the Sports Banquet.
   Donations Wanted For Cooking PFL

Dear Community Members,
My name is Hunter Davis.  I attend Grace Prep High School in State College, PA.  I am a senior who has a passion for cooking. In order to  graduate, I need to complete a project to demonstrate to  my school and classmates how I can combine my learning and skills to present a worldview that contributes to the Grace Prep legacy and has a positive effect on my future.
I would like to cook professionally.  I cook all the time and enjoy learning new and creative things. I am going to be teaching my school how to make fresh pizza from scratch on February 17, 2017. I am asking local State College restaurants and grocery stores for donations. To complete my senior project I need donations of  flour, sugar, salt, olive oil, yeast, and any kinds of pizza toppings including cheese, onions, pepperoni, tomatoes, etc. My goal is to make 10 pizzas for my classmates. If you are able to make donations for the  ingredients I need, it would mean a lot to me. You can call me at 814-933-9455 or email me at hunter.dav3232@gmail.com.  I would appreciate any donations you are willing to contribute.

Thanks,
Hunter Davis

"My wife and I have been using the Scrip program when our children were at Nittany Christian and have been using it since its inception at Grace Prep. Here is a short list of the benefits that we have found with the program:

- Buying gift cards helps you to budget and plan for your expenses. You know what you are spending and don't fall into the trap of excessive credit card spending.
- Buying gift cards from the numerous companies on Scrip is a great way to give Christmas and birthday presents.
- Planning a major home improvement project or appliance purchase, why not buy Scrip cards for Lowe's, Home Depot or Sears for example?
- For years while our children were attending Nittany Christian and Grace Prep we used the Scrip percentage that was attributed to us the purchaser to help pay for our children's tuition (a big help when you are sending four children through private school).
- Now that are children have all graduated we still purchase Scrip gift cards and donate the Scrip percentage back to the school and receive a tax deduction for the donation. What an easy way to bless the school by simply purchasing gift cards for necessities such as groceries and gas.

Grace and peace,
Bryan and Stacy Spang"
