Advent Greetings!
Maybe it’s because Christmas begins earlier every retail year that many assume that Christmas begins after Thanksgiving. But this is a time of waiting, of reflecting on what it is we are waiting and hoping for. As children might be making lists of things they want, we should be considering what we value and what we are hoping for. The first week of Advent we typically focus on “Hope”.
This year I’d like you to consider that “waiting” isn’t a way of doing nothing, it’s a way of living in the world as we prepare the way for the Lord and the completion of his kingdom. What is your hope and how does Jesus answer hope? That’s our question this week.
