The New Year Is Full of Praise

ORH Director, Daniel Jones, and Pastor Mike Fenner in the temporary meeting room of Antioch Baptist Church.

Pastor Mike Fenner and his church lost everything to the flood waters of Hurricane Helene. The first picture below is his church. The second picture shows only the sign of the church remaining after the church buildings were swept away.

Brother Fenner and his congregation were left questioning how they could rebuild.

PRAISE GOD; He answered mightily!

ORH went to work immediately with Pastor Fenner to encourage and to support him and the Church during this very hard time. ORH provided funds and opportunity to minister to his community. Since the time of the impact of the waters, churches have sent directly to Antioch funds to start rebuilding.

The picture above is the presentation to the church of a check for $60,000 from ORH. With a major contribution from another organization the church is embarking to rebuild Antioch Baptist Church.

GOD IS ALWAYS GRACIOUS!

Pray for Pastor Fenner and the congregation that they will find great success as they go forth and build!

Western Uganda Opens for ORH

2024 UGANDA MEDICAL TEAM

In 2023, missionary, Joe Risinger, contacted ORH about coming to his mission field of northwestern Uganda. Brother Risinger and his family are with Baptist World Mission in Decatur, AL. His board was gracious to recommend ORH for the purpose of reaching his field for Christ.

Brother Risinger wrote the following report about the ORH clinic.

"We praise God for the tremendous opportunity to host ORH in the West Nile region of Uganda for the very first time! It was such a blessing to see the team in practice, and see the love each team member showed to our local people. We prayed for fruit from this work, and got to see a total of 13 make the decision to put their faith in Christ! Most of these were Muslim; what a breakthrough! God has been good to us to provide ORH as a valuable partner in this work of advancing the gospel. Joe Risinger"

Such kind words are always refreshing. It has always been the purpose of ORH to fulfill our motto of "Touching the Heart...Reaching the Soul."

If we help the body only, we fail the Gospel which heals the soul. We must touch the heart by the mercies of God and reach the soul with the Gospel of Christ.
