Greetings

Thank you for everyone's generosity in giving your time to the pumpkin patch...our final day will be October 31st. Please let Jason know if you’d be willing to help close down the pumpkin patch at the end of the season. We need to move tables and signs, stack pallets, move remaining pumpkins and store wagons/wheelbarrows. This can be done October 31st and November 1st based on your availability. Thank you for your help all month and for helping us push through to the finish line!

This Sunday is our Grace Family First Night - Thanksgiving Edition! We will eat turkey together and whatever sides/desserts you choose to bring. Afterward, we will hear from the Joyful Noise and Half Notes, and put together the Historic Paradise Baking Bags that we have been collecting items for over the past month. See below for more details.

The 2026 Dimes for Hunger total received was $2,276.20. Last year was $1,428.05. What a significant increase year over year! The kids did a GREAT job shaking you down :) Thank you for your support of this important Presbytery-wide project as we help to feed the hungry, nearby and far away.

SWEET POTATO PIE BAKING BAGS FOR HISTORIC PARADISE

We are collecting items again this year to make a sweet potato pie for families in the Historic Paradise Neighborhood. Our goal is 25 bags.

We still the need following items to reach our goal:

Sugar 14

Flour 11

Nutmeg 08

Vanilla 11

Evaporated milk 06

The sweet potatoes will be generously donated by the Future Farmers of America of Fort Mill High School.

We will assemble that bags at this Sunday's Grace Family First night. Please contact Annmarie Clark if you have any questions.

GREAT CHICKEN CHALLENGE FOR FORT MILL CARE CENTER

The fourth annual Great Chicken Challenge has kicked off! Between now and Thanksgiving, we are collecting frozen whole chickens to donate to FMCC for their Thanksgiving baskets. Not every family needs a full-sized turkey, thus the chickens. With food insecurity at an all-time high, the need is greater than ever. Please grab a whole frozen (or not) chicken, bring it to church and place it in the freezer in the kitchen. If you have any questions, please contact Tom Blackhurst.

STEWARDSHIP PLEDGES

Each October we focus on how our financial gifts along with the ways we serve impact the church and it's mission in the world. This year we are particularly focusing on "extending the love of Christ." Your giving to Grace allows us to do all the things we do for worship, fellowship and Christian education, but it also allows us to do amazing work in the community as we connect and serve with partners who are literally transforming the world. Grace was a wide impact, and it is possible because of your gifts.

As we ponder how we can reach out in 2027 your pledges help us form a plan or a budget for how we will do so. Each family is asked to consider your pledge for 2027 and to return a paper pledge card in the white offering box or to the office or to complete an online pledge card here by Sunday, November 1. Thank you to the households who have already made their pledge.

Thank you for your faithful giving and for making it possible for Grace to extend the love of Christ beyond our walls!
