This research exchange will include areas such as Nuclear Science & Engineering, Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage, Sustainable Mining & Critical Minerals Technologies, Clean Water Innovation, Hydrogen & Alternative Fuel Technologies and Energy & Environmental Policy.If you are interested in the research exchange with the Colorado School of Mines, register your interest here. FGSR Fall 2023 Orientation

The Faculty of Graduate Studies & Research invites you to our orientation. Get the best start possible to your new academic journey by learning about all the supports and services available to you. FGSR Workshop: Understanding Academic Integrity

Having an understanding of academic integrity at the start of your academic journey is fundamental to success in your graduate work. This workshop will familiarize you with principles you need to avoid academic misconduct and some of the common mistakes graduate students make. Dr. Chris Oriet, the Associate Dean of Planning and Programs at FGSR,will lead this session. Pre-GTEC

The Pre-GTEC is a half-day course offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research and the Center for Teaching and Learning. It will be held on Friday Sept. 1, 2023 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. in ED 114. Please register to attend. Pre-GTEC is designed to prepare Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) for their roles and to enhance their overall graduate experience while benefiting undergraduate students' learning experiences. Upon completion, you will receive a non-credit certificate. More information can be found on the Centre for Teaching and Learning's website.

FGSR Workshop: How to have a Great Relationship with your Supervisor

The main indicator of graduate student success is a positive relationship with their supervisor. We have some great training on how to establish expectations, develop communication systems -- and on the supports available to facilitate this. Dr. Maria Velez Caicedo, the Associate Dean of Graduate Engagement & Partnerships at FGSR, will lead this session. It will be virtual via Zoom on Wednesday Sept. 6, 2023 from 12-1 p.m. Please register to attend. Registrants will receive a link to attend day-of.
