Grade Two and Three Parents and Guardians,
Our teams have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to prepare for the start of Hybrid Learning for students in Grade Two and Three as Phase Three of our reopening plan. We have prepared a slideshow with details related to health and safety precautions, logistical considerations for things like lunch and recess and movement breaks.
It is of primary importance that all members of our community recognize their shared responsibility to keep the community safe. It is absolutely critical that all families do their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
We have implemented a health attestation form via FamilyID, and it is imperative that each student is screened every morning that they are attending in-person learning at BFCCPS before leaving for school. This form only needs to be filled out one time, with the understanding that you will home screen your child daily and update us if at any point you answer yes to any of these questions in the future.
We recognize that this is an enormous amount of information for families, but wanted to be sure that you had a complete understanding of the policies and procedures surrounding a return to in person education.
Our teachers have had similar training regarding hybrid learning, and should be able to answer any questions that you might have following a complete review of this slideshow.
We look forward to seeing your students for their first days of in person learning:

  • Thursday/Friday Cohort - October 15 & 16 in person
  • Monday/Tuesday Cohort - October 19 & 20 in person

We thank you in advance for your support as we move into the next phase of our school’s re-opening.
Be kind Ben Franklin,
Heather Zolnowski

Snacks and Lunch
Since students may be eating in the classrooms, for this year all snacks and lunches must be allergen sensitive. At a minimum all classrooms will be nut-free. Please note: Some classrooms may have additional restrictions based on requirements for students in that class.

Students who are participating in hybrid in-person education can place lunch orders on days that they are scheduled to be on campus. All orders are placed via FamilyID. Please visit our FamilyID Landing page to place an order.

  • One cold lunch choice will be offered daily. Lunch orders each come with a choice of 0% or 1% milk. Students who bring lunch from home may purchase milk a la carte.
  • Orders will close sharply at 5pm on Tuesdays for the following week.
  • Students who order lunch will have their lunch delivered to the classroom prior to the start of lunch

Please contact Mrs Jarvis with any questions on lunch ordering at mjarvis@bfccps.org.
Pick Up and Drop Off
Bus Transportation

In accordance with the DESE guidance, available seats will be marked on all buses and these are the only seats that students may occupy. Students must sit in the same seat each day, and no movement on the bus or switching of seats is permitted.

Please be at the bus stop 10 minutes before the designated time and remember to follow the COVID required protocol of mask wearing (if your child forgot their mask while waiting at the bus stop, please tell the driver and he/she will give you one as BFCCPS has provided all bus drivers with masks), social distancing of six feet and hand sanitizing prior to boarding the bus. Please also see below for the detailed COVID protocol that requires all parents to monitor their students for symptoms prior to boarding the bus to come to school.
