KM Staff (and just a few Dousman students) Go Above And Beyond

Mr. Plum's initiative to honor staff around the district was in high gear these last few months. Food service to elementary art, high school science to counselors, we are incredibly grateful for the contributions, passion and hard work of these people, nominated for going Above & Beyond:

AND...we gave out special Above & Beyond awards to a ton of artists in grades 2-5 at Dousman for their incredible collaboration on centerpieces for our 2021-22 retirees. Kudos to all of those recognized and we can't wait to visit and surprise staff in the fall!

Spots in our 4K and 5K classes for 2022-23 are filling up fast!

5K in Kettle Moraine

Children who are 5 years old on or before September 1 may attend kindergarten this fall in the Kettle Moraine School District. The kindergarten program is held from 8:30 a.m. - 3:35 p.m. (except Thursdays with an Early Release at 3:05 p.m.) at every elementary school in the district. Where you live will determine which school your child will attend. Learn more about 5K!

4K in Kettle Moraine

Children who are four years old on or before September 1 may attend 4K beginning in the fall in the Kettle Moraine School District. Classes begin at 8:20 and run until 11:05. Classes are offered at four school sites and several community partner sites. Learn more about 4K!

Three Musicians Chosen To Perform At The Wisconsin State Music Conference

Congratulations to the following KMMS Band students who were chosen to participate in the WSMA Middle Level State Honors Band and Orchestra: Carli H., flute, Brooke M., percussion, and Emma M., French horn. This is a superb honor because students audition and are chosen from the top students around the entire state of Wisconsin!

The Middle Level Honors groups offer musically-accomplished youth the opportunity to rehearse and perform with nationally-known conductors in a professional setting. All Honors groups perform at the Wisconsin State Music Conference. Middle Level State Honors students receive their music in August and meet for the first time the day before their fall performance. The rehearsal day and formal concert will occur at Verona Area High School in October.

Federal Funding For Universal Free Lunches Ends

Due to changes at the federal level, universal free lunches ended on the last day of the 2021-22 school year. Free meals will not be provided this summer and universal free lunches will not be offered for the 2022-23 school year. If you have questions, please email Joe Claas at [email protected]u

KM Education Foundation Awards 88 Scholarships Worth $72,500

The Kettle Moraine Education Foundation (KMEF) proudly handed out 88 scholarships worth a combined $72,500 to KMHS Campus seniors last week during the annual scholarships ceremony, which also included a bevy of other monetary awards from around the area.

Thanks to KMEF and all our community members, organizations and corporations who provide scholarships to our Lasers!

We know summer just began, but we want to give KM families a heads-up we'll be sending an email out soon about our 2022-23 school year online registration, which will be open July 20 through August 7, 2022. This registration pertains to all KM families.
