Dear Seniors and Families,

Four weeks until graduation!

Senior Supper: Thursday, May 18, 6pm at AHS
A special gathering just for staff and seniors--our last time having them in the Nest!
Seniors will receive their cap & gowns as well as reserved-seat tickets for graduation at this event

Graduation Rehearsal: Friday, May 19, 8:30am at Community Concert Hall
We take the official class photo in caps & gowns and then run through a full dress rehearsal before we join the rest of the school at Advisory Olympics

Graduation: Friday, May 19, 4pm at Community Concert Hall
The big event! Some general admission seats will be available for those without tickets and the ceremony will be live streamed for those who cannot attend in person

The Senior Celebration Booklet is off to the printer and the senior class has made it clear that you'd like Lori to speak at graduation. No surprise there, since she was your teacher sophomore and senior year...and she's amazing. She's starting to work on her speech, so know that she's lovingly watching your every move and searching for fodder and inspiration.

Next up, finalizing music and the rest of the speaker program, and making sure families and friends have tickets for the big day!

Your next round of graduation deadlines...

By Next Friday, April 28

  • SENIORS: Email a draft of your graduation speech to me if you're interested in being considered as a Student Speaker. I will pull together a committee of teachers who will help select student speakers for the graduation ceremony.

  • SENIORS/FAMILIES: Complete the Graduation Ticket Survey here if you haven't done so yet; each family is guaranteed 10 reserved tickets if needed, and can request more. Once I receive everyone's input, I assign seating based on the information you've shared. Paper tickets with seat assignments will be handed out to seniors the night before graduation at Senior Supper

By Friday May 5
  • SENIORS: Complete the music survey here: this tells us what song to play when you walk across the stage to get your diploma and what your class song should be, which plays when you toss caps in the air.

Excited to celebrate with you all!

Cheers,
Libby
