Dear Seniors and Families,

It's hard to believe but we are just over 12 weeks away from graduation for the AHS Class of 2023, scheduled for Friday, May 24 at 4pm at the Fort Lewis College Community Concert Hall!

Please join me on campus next Monday, March 4 at 5pm for a Graduation Meeting where I'll share important information about:

  • How to order (or borrow) your cap & gown
  • What we need to create Senior Pages in the Yearbook and the Senior Celebration Booklet (senior photos, etc.)
  • How we choose graduation speakers and music
  • Graduation Week events, including Senior Supper on Thursday May 23, organized by junior parents
  • Opportunities for ordering graduation photos
  • How we allocate tickets for the graduation ceremony

Organizing graduation is seriously one of my favorite parts of my job. I love the unique spin we put on celebrating our Ospreys and am excited to work with you all to create a memorable event.

Students who are wrapping up their high school education through the PCC Gateway-to-College program by this May are absolutely encouraged and welcomed to be a part of AHS graduation festivities and we hope you'll join us for the meeting, too.

Don't worry too much if you have a conflict with attending next Monday--this is just the start of LOTS of communication I'll be sending your way in the next 3 months and I promise you'll get all the information you need. I look forward to seeing all who can attend.

Seniors, for now, just keep cranking away at those Senior Theses! It's a big push, but I know that you can do it and I can't wait to celebrate YOU in May.

Best,

Libby
