Nasmil Campusano, who will turn 21 on Thursday, May 28, is graduating from the RCSD. Nasmil arrived to the Bilingual Language and Literacy Academy in January of 2018. She is a native of the Dominican Republic. For the first seven months of her life, Nasmil had been conjoined at the breastbone and abdomen sharing just one liver with her sister Jazmin. A team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical nurses performed the 7½-hour surgery in January of 2000.
