Pastoral Reflections

Praise the Lord Trinity! Praise The Lord Trinity! Graduation is a wonderful time for spiritual growth. It is also a time to love life and have fun. You are in the prime of your life. However, remember that there must be a good Biblical Balance.  “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil,” (Ephesians 5:16).  In Ecclesiastes 11:9-10, Solomon instructed young people to enjoy life, but to also remember coming judgment. “Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from they flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.”

God challenged Joshua, “Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:7-8) Those commands were accompanied with this great promise, “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” (Joshua 1:9)

I challenge you to: (1) Be a Christian; (2) Become a leader for the Lord; (3) Do all you can to avoid spiritual failure; (4) Have the right perspectives in life; (5) Make a positive difference in your world; (6) Have the heart of a servant; (7) Live for a heavenly future; (8) Have principles and conviction; (9) Live with a future and possibilities; (10) Live a life of purity and godliness. True Joy comes to those who put God first; therefore, spend much time with God and with God’s people, pray regularly, honor your parents and parental figures, marry in the Lord and practice the joy of giving. You are the only one who can live your life. So then, will your life be worthwhile, or will it be a waste? You must decide.

My prayer for the graduating class of 2018 is, “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

Lord, as you bless this place we call Trinity, please bless our graduates!.

Church Mission Statement
" The Trinity Missionary Baptist Church is spiritually impacting our families, neighborhoods, city, and state by Exalting the Savior, Equipping the Saints & Evangelizing the Sinners . ~Ephesians 4:10-15.
He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. ~Ephesians 4:10-15

Vision Statement

The Trinity Missionary Baptist Church will be a 21st century model for the Christian Community. Our hope is to be a church family that faithfully and intentionally prioritizes ministry initiatives following the example of Jesus Christ, the teaching of the Apostles, and the New Testament Church.
We will be a God-Centered Church, devoted to the practices and disciplines of personal discipleship, evangelism, and servant ministry. We will be determined to promote the Gospel, and share the Compassion of the Lord Jesus Christ through missions, evangelism, and outreach.

2018 Church Theme
One Hundred Years of Reaching a City to Touch the World

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,   teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20) but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)
