New Graduation Requirements

SBE adopted rules regarding graduation requirements (following the passage of legislation HB 1599) on November 7 during a Board Meeting in Bremerton. SBE received more than 450 comments from the public regarding these rules, and will continue to gather feedback on the adequacy and equity of the pathways per the Legislature.

SBE is now collecting preliminary focus group contacts to gather feedback. Data from these groups will inform SBE reports to the Legislature this winter and periodically through 2022.

If you are in the Olympia area, please save the date and RSVP to the SBE Community Forum regarding the equity and adequacy of graduation pathway options (in Tumwater on January 14 from 6-8 p.m. at ESD 113).
