Dear {First Name}

In our excitement to announce our new conservation easement with the Town of Granby, we circulated a photo (right) that was not from the new Granby Highlands-Trails Conservation Easement. Instead, the photo was looking east from the Fraser to Granby Trail above the Stadelman Conservation Easement, between Tabernash and Fraser. The Stadelman easement is held by Grand County, granted by the Denver Water Board. You can learn more about this property at the pull-off before the bridge entering Tabernash, on US Highway 40.

We deeply apologize for this mistake and appreciate all of our neighbors who pointed out this error to us. We have such beautiful vistas in the county it is hard not to celebrate them all! The photo we meant to share is below, looking east over part of the easement towards the Town of Granby.

The Granby Highlands-Trails Conservation Easement covers 743 acres of the old Horn Ranch, also referred to as the old Shorefox Property, located north of the intersection of highways 40 and 34. The land is owned by the Town of Granby. In addition to the generosity of the Town of Granby, funding came from Grand County's Open Lands, Rivers, and Trails Fund (OLRT), Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW), Mountain Parks Electric, Inc (MPEI), the Gates Family Foundation, the Grand County Wilderness Group, Devil's Thumb Ranch, Country Ace Hardware, Jean & Chuck Townsend, the Hughes Charitable Trust, and so many other private donors.

The Granby Highlands-Trails Conservation Easement is CHLT's 67th easement since the land trust began in 1995, and brings the total acres conserved by CHLT in Grand County over 10,000!

Thank you to everyone who makes our work possible! This is a great way to close out this year, especially with other big changes coming to the land trust.
