Library News
Welcome to our New Assistant Children's Librarian - Lane Stoltz!
Lane grew up in southwestern ND on a cattle ranch. She's always enjoyed being outdoors, reading books, creating art, and working with young kids. Lane studied Elementary Education and Art at Dickinson State University in Dickinson, ND.

She was the Children’s and Young Adult Librarian at Dickinson Area Public Library for six years before moving to Grand Forks where she worked as the Library Media Specialist at South Middle School.

"I am so excited to get back to where my heart truly lies, a public children’s library! I love doing story time, crafts with kids, fun events, and creating a colorful, creative and welcoming environment for kids to learn and grow in."
Assistant Childrens Librarian
Lane was just married to her husband, Jakee Stoltz, the Director of Operations for the Northern Plains UAS Test Site, on June 30th in a beautiful, small wedding in Spearfish, SD. In their free time, they love to walk and spoil their two dogs, Lola and Tala. Lane also enjoys drawing and visiting the greenhouses to add to her vast plant collection.

Lane has done some exciting things so far at Grand Forks Public_ and we are so excited to have her!
Farmer's Market Trolley at GFP_
The Fork’s Mobile Market will again be at Grand Forks Public this summer/fall. Shop fresh produce, locally made jams, salsa, and so more each Tuesday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the library. The trolley will visit weekly through the end of September. They accept cash, credit cards, and EBT.
GFP_ Honored with National Marketing Awards
In July Grand Forks Public_ was honored to receive two National Marketing Awards for their recent marketing efforts! “I was so proud to accept the marketing and design awards on behalf of our marketing director.” Said Library Director Wendy Wendt. “She has done wonderful work through our re-branding and bringing the library to our communities attention!”

The annual PR Xchange Awards Competition recognizes the very best public relations materials produced by libraries in the past year. Grand Forks Public_ received awards for marketing pieces done for the library’s annual haunted stacks event. “I am so excited and honored to have received these awards, not only for my work, but for the whole library.” Said Nicole “You can’t do great marketing without great events to market and that is what we have at GFP_, great events!”
