In addition, this is a great opportunity for us to receive your input about the types of disability services and events you want to see in your community. All individuals and organizations in the area are welcome to attend.

The Open House will be held at our new office located at 3107 Evans St Suite A, Greenville, NC 27834. We look forward to seeing you there! To learn more about our growth and register, visit the links below.

We need your input!

The North Carolina State Independent Living Council (NCSILC) is collecting input from individuals and organizations across the state to get feedback about the priorities and concerns of disabled individuals in NC. This will help them form a new plan for support that accurately reflects the perspectives of people with disabilities as well as the organizations that work with them.

There are two parts to collecting feedback: a needs assessment survey and local forums.

Needs Assessment Survey

This survey helps the NCSILC understand what disabled North Carolinians need to achieve independent living. Any person with any type of disability as well as family members, caregivers, service providers, or any disability advocate is encouraged to take the survey.

Virtual Forum

Alliance of Disability Advocates is hosting a virtual forum to hear directly from the communities we serve about the experiences and needs of people with disabilities in our area. Any individuals in or around our service area, including those who are a part of our programs (TCL, Re-entry, etc.) are welcome!

Note: Our service area includes Beaufort, Durham, Franklin, Johnston, Orange, Pitt, Wake, and Wilson counties, but individuals in surrounding counties are welcome to join, as the goal of these forums is to collect information from all disabled individuals in NC, not just those who live in counties covered by Centers for Independent Living.
