Meet Holly Hollo - GSRC's New Marketing Director

A lifelong fitness walker, Holly turned to running two years ago and was instantly hooked. She is currently training for her second marathon. Born and raised in Connecticut, she now resides in North Myrtle Beach with her husband and children.

October Is Safety Awareness Month

Please join us on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Z's Amazing Kitchen in North Myrtle Beach after our Tuesday night group run for a fun and informative safety session with two local North Myrtle Beach Police Officers. They will provide us with valuable information on staying safe during runs, including dealing with aggressive and confrontational drivers, wearing appropriate reflective clothing, spotting suspicious activity, and self defense techniques. We look forward to seeing you there!
 
Recipe Of The Month
CINNAMON RAISIN QUINOA BITES , Courtesy of Janel Cheek

Calories: 48
Protein: 1.5 gms

Ingredients:
1 c cooked quinoa
1 C quick oats
1 tsp cinnamon
2 Tbs dark brown sugar
1 Tbs honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
3/4 C raisins

Preheat oven to 350o F

Combine cooked quinoa and quick oats. Add cinnamon and brown sugar and mix together.

In seperate bowl, whisk together honey, vanilla, and eggs until just combined. Pour mixture into the quinoa/oat mixture and mix together. Then mix with raisins.

Spray 24 count mini muffin pain with Pam. Take 1 Tbs of mix and place in muffin pan.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until spongy to touch. Serve warm or refrigerate up to a week.
