The Georgia Prostate Cancer Disparity Rally Launches!

NBA Hall of Fame Player and Atlanta Hawks Executive Grant Hill, joined with clergy, community leaders, doctors, policymakers and patients to launch PHEN's Georgia Prostate Cancer Disparity Rally, with radio messages broadcast in Atlanta, Augusta and Savannah. The rally which continues throughout May, also includes video outreach via social media.


"With the support of known and trusted leaders in Georgia, our rally will raise awareness about early detection screening, treatments, and care throughout the state, to address eliminating the prostate cancer racial disparity," says Thomas Farrington, PHEN President and Founder.

Georgia leaders and patients will come together in the town hall meeting to discuss key factors contributing to the prostate cancer racial disparity, and to explore collaborative actions that can be taken in Georgia towards eliminating the disparity. The online audience will be able to present questions to the meeting participants.
