WE WELCOME VIA CARPENTER

TO THE CAP TEAM!

We are so excited to announce that Via Carpenter is joining the CAP team as our new Community Engagement Coordinator!

Via brings extensive skills and experience in social media content creation and engagement, relationship building, and events coordinating. We’re excited about the organization and enthusiasm she will bring to the team. With Via's help we're looking forward to a more robust social media presence, broader marketing of local arts and artists, and deeper engagement with the community.

MAKING RURAL ARTS EVENTS POSSIBLE

Grantee Feature - Newfield Library

This month's featured 2025 grantee is the Newfield Public Library, recipient of our GAP grant for decades!

Sue Chaffee, Library Director, says: "The GAP grant is extremely important because it allows us to give access to artistic and cultural events to community members that may not otherwise have access given our rural location. The performers we selected this year will use puppets, music, dance, tradition, culture, history and more,...

"...telling stories that will not only enhance the artistic spirit of our community, but also build empathy by discovering we are more alike than we realize."

32 Local Artists Receive CAP's "SOS" grant!

Last month's ArtsLetter announced our Statewide Community Regrant recipients. This month we announce the recipients of our Strategic Opportunity Stipend (SOS). See all 32 awardees at the link below.

Note: If you'd love to contribute to the SOS grant fund for 2026, please get in touch! This grant is very important as it allows artists to take advantage of opportunities anywhere in the world!

"It’s not just about funding—it’s about the belief that my work matters, that my art can bring joy to others."

"The impact of this grant extends beyond me. When I perform, I see people find hope, connection, and even the courage to tell their own stories. That is the real power of art, and your support makes it possible."
