Get growing with a 4X8 raised bed garden, drip irrigation system & classroom hydroponic system! This grant includes everything you need for successful growing anywhere in NM, including training and curriculum resources!

Deadline to apply is Saturday, May 2, 2020!
What Previous Grant Recipients Have to Say:

"I am in love with our hydroponic system. It is so cool! My kinders have learned about life cycles, living vs nonliving, seasons and soil. They are curious as to why dill the plant tastes like pickles." - Amber Spence, Dexter, NM

"The materials have provided more hands on learning opportunities for our students. The students have told us they feel more responsible for what they are learning because of the hydroponics growing kit. We have new science curriculum and the 5th grade project for the year was to grow something without soil so it was perfect timing." - Kristi Victor, Elida, NM

"The materials are very hands on and interesting to students. This project definitely takes away from pencil and paper and allows to kids to get their hands dirty. We definitely get fun science curriculum out of these projects." - Benjamin Espinosa, Rio Gallinas Charter School

"Students are very engaged in the NM Grow project. Not only are the student who signed up for the course enthusiastic, but also students who did not sign up are asking to participate."
-Scott Meihack, Jemez Valley High School

Please help us congratulate Britney Lardner, our new NMAITC Coordinator! Britney was born and raised in New Mexico, graduating from Belen High School in 2009. She went on to pursue her growing passion for teaching and agriculture by graduating from New Mexico State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Education & Extension. She then ventured over to Oklahoma State University to earn her Master of Agriculture degree in International Agriculture, graduating in 2015. For the next 4 years, Britney has dedicated her time to focus on her family back in Albuquerque, but still found time to volunteer with the Ag In The Classroom program as the Bernalillo County “Agvocate.” We are excited to have her on the NMAITC team!
