HELP BUILD A DIGITAL ASSET INVENTORY FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY!

What is a digital asset inventory and why does it matter? SCEC and its coalition partners are creating a digital equity plan for Washington County.

The coalition is asking for your knowledge about schools, libraries, and organizations that provide free internet access, free or low cost computers, free/low cost classes on how to use your device, free/low cost business start-up courses, and more.

NO information is too small, or unimportant. Does your library have free internet and computers? Does your town have a Wi-Fi hotspot?

REMOTE WORK THROUGH LIBRARIES GRANTS

Through a collaboration with the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) the Maine State Library (MSL) will invest $2 million in Maine’s 255 public libraries to expand their capacity to provide targeted resources, services, and physical space to support remote and hybrid workers across the state. Business owners and entrepreneurs that primarily operate with a virtual footprint will also be served.

The Remote Work through Libraries Grants program will open applications for eligible public libraries in April, 2023.
