So it's kind of short and simple this month. Garden is done, the cattle are coming back from summer pasture, and the irrigation water is turned off. Slipping into an easier time of the year - a time for rest, and a time to catch up on all the chores we couldn't find the time for in the summer. That is, until the snow falls and we have to take hay to the animals. It's all good though.

The green tomatoes are ripening in boxes and on the windowsill. We have plenty of winter squash, and even a really nice pumpkin, to enjoy over the next few months. Such a good year, and so much to be grateful for.


We are getting close to selling out on our Thanksgiving turkeys, so don't wait too long to get your order in. They will be ready to ship November 18th .
Just a quick aside. I keep getting calls from unhappy customers who are confusing us with a company called Grassroots Farmers Coop. Please know that is not us.

We are overstocked
on a few items and need your help to make  room in our freezers for all 
the meat we will be processing over the next few months.

As the year winds down we are reflecting on how blessed we are to do what we do, and to help such wonderful folks as you in your quest for a healthier alternative to commodity meats. We don't get it right all the time, but we sure work hard to provide the best product we can.
