The service will also be livestreamed so you can worship online beginning at 4 PM on Christmas Eve or anytime later. Registration opens this Saturday, November 27 in Realm. Advent Quiet Day helps prepare your heart, mind, and soul for the Christmas season
Saturday, December 4 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Quiet days are designed to help us remove the daily distractions from our minds in order to draw closer to God through prayer, journaling, reading Scripture, walking, and resting. It’s being with God for several quiet hours when the holy can be experienced in ways we often lose sight of in our busyness. It is especially important as we get caught up in this spiritually rich season in our lives.

This Advent, join our very own Sara Vale, Ph.D.and spiritual director, as she leads us through meditations on finding quiet to hear the voice of God through the noise of the holiday season. This is a day to quiet your heart to prepare to receive the coming of Christ at Christmas.

Gather on Saturday, December 4 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., in the Garage for short meditations and quiet reflection times. Bring your own lunch. Drinks will be provided. The day will close with Holy Communion.
Needed: Notes of Encouragement for Students in Haiti
We've seen the challenges that our friends in Haiti face in the news over the last year. Christ Church has had a long-standing relationship with the Diocese of Haiti and the schools of St. Simeon and St. Marc.

Your gifts to Christ Church this year have provided scholarships for 10 students in Haiti, so they can stay in school for the rest of the academic year 2021-2022.

Would you also be willing to show love and support to one student by praying and by writing a short note to them? These notes show we care and that we are rooting for their success.
Gather for fellowship and service! Volunteers needed to make holiday wreaths for CCE
Sunday, December 5, 12:30-1:30 PM
Add a sense of anticipation and wonder this Advent! Gather at church to make holiday wreaths for our church doors. Get details and register in Realm Events.
Super-sized Men's Breakfast + Service Opportunity
Saturday, December 4, starting at 8 AM
All men are invited to gather for breakfast at Aw Shucks Country Store on Pouncey Tract Rd. at 8 AM. Dave Wasik and Jeff Kapinos will lead a discussion on Biblical service. Then, the group will go to Church of Our Savior in Montpelier to help them with splitting and distributing wood to families in need during the winter. What a great way to put the lesson of Biblical Service into action! Contact Dave Wasik with any questions.
Monthly opportunities to farm and provide fresh food for folks with food insecurity
The mission of Shalom Farms is to work with communities to ensure access to healthy food and the support to live healthy lives. Through sustainable food production and hands-on experiences at the farm and in the city, Shalom Farms provides thousands in Richmond with access to healthy food…and healthy lives.

Christ Church is committed to serving one Tuesday and one Saturday each month. On Saturdays, we join our friends from West End Islamic Center, so it's an opportunity to provide food for those in need and extend a hand of hospitality to our Muslim neighbors. To sign up, please contact lay leader Kevin Van Natta. Kevin's contact information is listed in our online database, Realm. If you need help with Realm, or with obtaining contact info, please contact staff. We're happy to help!
