As we mark the conclusion of our first four months, I am filled with immense pride in the achievements and milestones we have reached together as an organization. Our journey began with a shared vision: to provide compassionate, high-quality care and support to individuals and families during some of their most critical moments.

In these months, we have built a strong foundation by welcoming new team members, expanding community partnerships, and launching innovative programs that benefit those we serve. Heartfelt family testimonials highlight the real impact of our work. These achievements reflect the dedication, generosity, and resilience of our staff, volunteers, supporters, and donors.

January 29: Hospice Awareness Day in Durham Region

January 29 marked Hospice Awareness Day in Durham Region. Flags representing each hospice, including Marigold Hospice Care, were raised across the region, at Regional Headquarters and here in Clarington, honouring the compassionate care hospices provide to individuals and families.

Thank you to Regional Chair John Henry and Regional Councillors Willie Woo, Margaret Zwart, Sami Elhajjeh, and Durham Region Police for championing hospice care in Durham. As fundraising continues, learn more about our work marigoldhospicecare.ca.

While 60% of our funding is provided by the government, the remaining 40%, an incredible $700,000 to $800,000 each year, relies on the generosity of people like you.
